Visiting Moraine Lake is always part of my summer getaway. This is a glacially fed lake in Banff, situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 6,183 feet. I am mesmerized by the lake’s unique azure blue shade, due to refraction of the rock’s sediment deposits into the lake. Moraine lake is about 14 kilometers from Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada.
