This painting is one of my Colour of the Wind Collection, curated and exhibited September 2019 at trinity Art Gallery in Edmonton, Alberta Canada and i part of my portfolio on Canadian Rockies. Landscape.
In the northwestern extreme of the Purcells in the Columbia Mountains, are exposed formation of crystalline granite, the Bugaboo Glacier Peaks, and the Eastern, Central, and Western Spires. The most impressive peak in the Bugaboos is the Bugaboo Spire. It has some of the most spectacular alpine climbing in Canada. It seems to be a mystical grandeur and so I painted this landscape under the aurora borealis sky. I used glittery iridescent oil paints in the northern lights and unto trees highlights with reflection in the Cobalt lake at the bosom of the spires.
