Mystical Retreat at Spirit Island Maligne Lake

I created this painting in 2020, out of my experience on a cruise at Maligne Lake 2019 summer to reach the heart of the Canadian Rockies, the Spirit Island. In one of my visits, it was raining but once I reached the place, the rain stopped and the sun beamed behind the mountains that hide this paradise. It was a mystical moment, I stand there with awe as the mist slowly lifted and the sun radiates. The trunk of tree lying on the lake stood still like a chariot, defending the island. My tears fell in awe.

This is one of my rendering of Maligne Lake, Jasper Alberta. It is the heart of the Canadian Rockies famous for its mesmerizing torquoise lake surrounded by majestic mountain peak glaciers visible from the lake and Spirit Island. You can reach this nook through a 40 minute cruise or a 2 hours of canoeing. I had this mystical feeling when I visited this place.
